A reaction to a category that lost its way.
The industry our founders entered was full of brokers chasing the highest commission, burying fees, and promising “guaranteed” approvals. Clients, often sophisticated, wealthy and busy, were being sold to, not advised.
Sterling Meridian was built on the opposite premise: charge an honest advisory fee, put every cost on the table, and treat a client's approval and reputation as the product. Sixteen years later, most of our work comes from referrals, the truest measure of trust there is.
